Office Bearers

  • Prof. K. Narahari, Chief Mentor
    • Prof. K.Narahari is one of the founder members of KRMSS. He was a Professor of Mechanical Engineering in B.M.S Engineering College and a member of the Karnataka State Legislature Council for 18 years from 1984-2002. He was the president of KRMSS from 1984-2000 and ABRSM, an all India body of teachers for more than 20 years. His book ‘A Vision and direction to education’ has been appreciated and seen many editions. As Chief Mentor of both KRMSS and ABRSM, he is currently guiding all our activities.
  • Prof K. Balakrishna Bhat, President
    • He was a professor of botany in Govinda Das College, Suratkal. He was elected to the legislative council twice from Mangalore constituency in 1994 and 2006. Since the year 2000, he is leading KRMSS as State President. Currently he is also the joint-general secretary of ABRSM.
  • Capt. Ganesh Karnik, Organising Secretary
    • After serving as a captain in the Indian Army, Capt. Ganesh Karnik was elected as a MLC for the Mangalore constituency. Since 2006, he is working with KRMSS as an Organizing Secretary.
  • Shivananda Sindana Khera, General Secretary
    • He is a working lecturer of electronics in Mysore Maharajas Government PU College. Being young and dynamic, he organizes the various programs of KRMSS throughout Karnataka.
  • Arun Shahapur, Organising Secretary
    • Elected to Karnataka Legislature Council in 2010, he is the youngest of the MLCs. As a MLC, he is striving very hard to solve the problems in the education system and teachers.
  • G. S. Krishnamurthy, Joint Organising Secretary
    • Though Krishnamurthy started his career as a lecturer, he got solace in teaching young kids in HAL secondary school. For the last 30 years he is looking after our office as an office secretary. At present he is the managing editor of ‘Shikshak Samachar’, our monthly magazine.
  • H. Nagabhushan Rao, Treasurer
    • Popularly known as HNR, started his teaching career in Janaseva Vidya Kendra and later shifted to National High School, Basavanagudi, Bangalore. Along with being the editor of Shikshak Samachar, he also looks after the finances of the organization and is currently incharge of educational training cell at ABRSM.
  • R. Seethelakshmi, Chief – Women’s wing
    • She was a teacher in Government Junior College in Basavanagudi, Bangalore and later rose to the position of Vice Principal in the same institution. Since 1984, as chief of the women’s wing, she addresses the problems of women teachers. Currently she also is the joint secretary of the women’s wing of ABRSM.
